Podcast Intros & Outros
Make Your Podcast Shine With a Professional Intro & Outro Voiceover
Podcasts have become one of the fastest growing forms of media in the 21st century. Just this past year there were more than 850,000 active podcasts online, and more than half of American consumers over the age of 12 have listened to at least one show. Whether it’s a business or news podcast, a comedy series, sports show or even an audio drama, more people are listening than ever before.
I’ve had my own Audio Branding podcast for a while now, featuring a variety of topics and interviews with producers, creators and sound experts of every sort, and you can give it a listen by just clicking this link. Podcasting is a great opportunity to reach your audience in a more personal way, and my voice over services are available for your own intros and outro.
First Impressions are Lasting Impressions
The first few minutes of a podcast can make a huge difference when it comes to building your audience. A recent survey shows that a third of podcast listeners will give a show no more than fifteen minutes to win them over, and more than a quarter of the audience will move on after just five minutes. First impressions count, and a podcast’s intro sets the tone for the rest of the show. That intro’s usually no longer than a minute, often just thirty seconds, but a polished, professional bumper can help you make each precious second count and engage your audience right from the start.
Each episode of your podcast will be someone’s first episode, and a new opportunity to introduce yourself to them. A podcast’s intro can become as instantly recognizable as a commercial jingle or TV show’s theme song. This makes using that first impression wisely all the more important, so that each new listener knows what your podcast is all about and is persuaded to give it a try.
The Right Voice For Your Show
Maybe you’d like your intro to project a sense of warm, reassuring calm, or you might be looking for a more upbeat and enthusiastic tone to start each podcast. You might even want a voice with more of an edge, a bold sense of authority. No matter what mood you’d like to set, my years of award-winning voice over and vocal experience in television, radio and new media will help bring it to life and draw in your audience for each new episode.
Podcast bumpers have become one of my most popular services lately as podcasting becomes more mainstream. Podcast listeners subscribe to six shows a week on average, and podcast ad revenue is expected to be more than $1 billion, for the first time ever, in 2021. Podcasting is big business these days, and staying on top of it takes skill and dedication. Whether you’re just getting started or looking to update your show, one website that I highly recommend is the Podcasting Resources Guide. It offers links to everything from equipment and hardware to online tutorials to royalty-free music and sound effects, with no fees and no registration required.

Ending on a High Note
Your closing outro can be just as important as the introduction, even if it comes at the end of the show. While the intro welcomes and persuades the listener to give the show a try, the conclusion is the last impression they’ll have before it ends, and often the one that stays with them afterwards. This gives you the opportunity to thank the listener and to end the show with a call to action, whether it’s to subscribe to your podcast or recommend the show to their friends, to contact you with feedback or just to tune in next time.
Looking for a particular kind of voice to close out your show? Whether you’re aiming for a smooth and confident, warm and friendly, or quick and energetic tone, I can give your podcast just the right sound to make a powerful first impression on your listeners and to end each episode with a bang.
